Vandals tag school with hate messages, racial slurs

SAN JOSE, Calif.

Students at Mt. Pleasant High were invited to write goodbye messages on the walls of a classroom scheduled for demolition, but school officials say last Friday, someone took advantage of that invitation and instead drawing swastikas and references to Hitler.

It is not clear if a student is responsible, but East Side Union High School District officials say racist behavior of any kind is not tolerated.

The graffiti was immediately taken down.
