Child car seat maker will stop using toxins

Another child car seat maker is promising to eliminate toxic materials from its products by the end of this year.

Britax has now joined Orbit Baby in its commitment to remove hazardous flame retardants and PVC from its car seats.

Flame retardants have been associated with thyroid, behavior and memory problems, as well as decreased fertility.

PVC is used in plastics and poses both environmental and health concerns.
