Residents rally against more pot clubs in the Mission

Parents, residents and merchants doing business in the Outer Mission say they don't want another pot club opening up in their neighborhood.

To get their message across, dozens held a rally outside the Green Cross Saturday. It's one of three new medical marijuana dispensaries planning to set up shop along Mission Street.

Some parents brought their children and held signs reading, "A community of hope, not dope."

Organizers say there already two cannabis dispensaries in the area. They are gathering signatures opposed to opening three more.

Saturday's protest comes a day after supporters of legalizing marijuana celebrated 4/20, or April 20, which is commonly known as National Weed Day.
