Job Opening: Morning Executive Producer

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: KGO-TV/ABC7 News, the ABC Owned Television station in San Francisco has an immediate opening for Morning News Executive Producer. The Executive Producer will oversee all aspects of ABC7 News Morning newscasts from 4:30-7:00 am, Good Morning America news updates and ABC7 News Midday at 11 am. The Executive Producer will also manage all the overnight/morning resources including anchors, reporters, photographers, writers, assignment editor, production assistants and technical crew.

REQUIREMENTS: We are seeking a manager with superior news judgment and strong editorial, promotional and communication skills. The ideal candidate understands the nuances of a local morning newscast and how to use social media to enhance the content. Candidate should also have a proven track record with Breaking News and severe weather coverage on all platforms. The Executive Producer of the ABC7Morning News should be able to focus on details while achieving big-picture goals.

College degree and five (5) years producing experience and/or previous management experience in top 20 market preferred.
