BART 24th St. station in SF reopened after stabbing

SAN FRANCISCO

BART police closed the station at 4:43 a.m. today after a female suspect stabbed a male in the station, BART spokesman Jim Allison said.

Trains passed through the station without letting passengers off, and BART customers were not permitted to enter the station until 5:26 a.m. when the station reopened, Allison said.

The suspect is now in police custody, and the victim has been transported to San Francisco General Hospital, Allison said. Allison said he did not know the condition of the victim.

No other stations were affected by the closure, and BART trains otherwise remain on time, Allison said.
