Mirkarimi had to file the names by last night to the city Ethics Commission - which will be deciding whether Mayor Ed Lee was on firm ground in trying to remove Mirkarimi on misconduct charges. The commission's finding will be sent on to the Board of Supervisors, which will make a final decision. The sheriff allegedly bruised his wife's arm in a New Year's Eve argument and pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false imprisonment.
