Report recommends more flights for SJ, Oakland

SAN FRANCISCO

The Regional Airport Planning Committee says more flights are needed at those airports to handle the expected increase in passengers.

The committee projects the number of Bay Area airline passengers will soar to 101 million a year in 2035. By comparison, 58 million people used the big three airports last year.

The committee would also like to see more flights into Charles Shultz-Sonoma County Airport, in Santa Rosa as well.
