This week's episode takes a closer look at the foster care system. ABC7 News has teamed up with sleep train this month to help raise awareness and support for foster children. One dollar goes to the Sleep Train Dream Campaign for every "like" we get on our Facebook page.
Our program this week will discuss ways to get involved in fostering a child, and what it is like to grow up in foster care. We will address recent legislation related to young adults transitioning out of the system, as well as a program for LGBTQ youth.
Today's guests have each been involved in various aspects of foster care, and will share valuable information about their experiences.
