Police at Stanford searching for escaped domestic violence suspect

Police at Stanford University are telling residents to make sure their doors and windows are locked and to stay inside as they conduct an all-out search for a domestic violence suspect who escaped custody.

Police say around 2:05 a.m., Scott Foster escaped custody from the Stanford Police Department at 711 Serra St. Foster had been arrested for domestic violence at 1:30 a.m.

Foster is a white male adult in his late 30s, 5'8" tall and 200 pounds, and has a shaved head. He was last seen wearing a light colored t-shirt and jeans, and has open sores on his arms. He was handcuffed and not armed at the time.

Individuals are encouraged to lock all doors and windows and report suspicious activity to the police as soon as possible. Anyone with information on Foster's whereabouts should contact the Stanford police immediately by dialing 9-1-1 (or 9-911 from a campus phone).
