The Novato fire and police departments say the driver of the garbage truck apparently lost his brakes, and started careening down Marin Valley Drive. The truck slammed into a business called curves on Nave Drive. The two women inside were able to jump out of the way. The truck driver had some minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital to be checked out. Several businesses are located in the building.
