Repairs after water main break expected to take month

SAN FRANCISCO

Repairs continue at the intersection of Sunnydale Avenue and Cora Court. That's where a 42-inch main ruptured Tuesday creating a massive sink hole, flooding a nearby school, and forcing the evacuation of fourteen homes.

Repair crews hope to open the intersection by Saturday but say a permanent fix is three to four weeks away.

The news is better for Our Lady of the Visitacion School, which sustained serious flood damage. They now say classes will resume Tuesday.
