4 injured in South San Francisco house fire

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.

Residents called 911 at 11:30 p.m. last night about the blaze near Grand and Chestnut Avenues. The fire was pinpointed to the back of the home and has been put out. A police officer suffered smoke inhalation while checking for occupants and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Three residents in the residence also suffered smoke inhalation and are also being treated. All four are expected to be OK.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
