Steve Young raising funds for music therapy program

PALO ALTO, Calif.

On Wednesday morning, Steve Young and his wife Barb learned that Stanford's Lucile Packard Children's Hospital has agreed to discuss his Forever Young Foundation's plan to build a music therapy room as part of the hospital's expansion.

The foundation already has a playroom at Lucile Packard but now, the group will be able to do even more to help. The Forever Young group will begin a fundraising effort to help create the musical therapy program called "Sophie's Place."

"You know the space, so people can actually see what we're talking about. Once you see it and you get a vision for Sophie and Sophie's Place and what music therapy actually does, it's like great ideas sell themselves," Young told ABC7 News.

ABC7 News anchor Cheryl Jennings will have more of her exclusive interview with Steve and Barb Young in an upcoming report.
