Family rallies against fatal officer-involved shooting

OAKLAND, Calif.

In May, Alan Blueford and two friends were stopped and searched by police. That's when Blueford was shot three times after he ran for unknown reasons.

"Their job is to protect and serve," said Alan's mother, Jeralynn Blueford. "I got no service, and Alan got no protection. And it's a shame, it's a shame. Everybody should be outraged."

Oakland police say Blueford had a gun that was found near his body at the scene. The family says it was planted.
