Police seek driver who crashed into boy in crosswalk

FREMONT, Calif.

Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run accident at the intersection of Nicolet Avenue and MacKenzie Place at about 7:35 a.m. Monday, Officer Geneva Bosques said.

A red four-door sedan car hit the boy while he was in a crosswalk, Bosques said.

The driver, who is described as a man in his 40s, fled the area, and remains at large, Bosques said. He was last seen heading south on Nicolet Avenue towards Alder Avenue, she said.

The boy suffered minor injuries to his face and had a tooth knocked out, Bosques said. The father of the boy brought him to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, she said.

Anyone with any information about the collision is asked to call Fremont police at (510) 790-6800 or email Azamboninfremont.gov.
