SAN FRANCISCO

Caltrain spokesperson Christine Dunn says the woman was hit around 10:30 a.m. about just south of 16th Street and taken to a hospital.

The train involved in the accident, train No. 425, has been taken back to San Francisco. The 160 passengers on the train were able to board southbound train #428, which was scheduled to depart at 11:15 a.m.

Both tracks are now open, although trains will have to travel at reduced speeds through the area.
