New arrests made in Monte Sereno murder case

MONTE SERENO, Calif.

Sacramento police arrested Deangelo Austin on suspicion of murder in connection with the Nov. 30th home invasion that ended in the death of Kumra, 66, in his home on the 18000 block of Withey Road, according to Sgt. Kerry Harris.

Austin is the fourth person to be arrested in connection with the incident, which also left Kumra's wife with non-life threatening injuries.

On Dec. 18th, police arrested Raven Dixon, 22, on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder as well as felony narcotics, misdemeanor prostitution and drunk in public charges.

On Wednesday, Dec. 26th, police interviewed and arrested Lucas Anderson after an interview at Santa Clara County Jail, where he was already in custody on an unrelated matter, Harris said.

Anderson was arraigned on Friday on a murder charge.

And on Dec. 27th, Oakland police stopped and detained Javier Garcia, who was transferred to Santa Clara County Jail and arrested on suspicion of murder after an interview, Harris said.

Los Gatos-Monte Sereno police issued a news release stating that the home invasion homicide was probably not a random act and that investigators were focusing on possible connections a suspect or suspects may have had to the victim's house.
