LAPD shot 2 women without warning during manhunt

Emma Hernandez, 71, was delivering the Los Angeles Times newspaper with her daughter, Margie, in Torrance Thursday morning when police officers apparently mistook their blue Toyota pickup for Dorner's truck.

Authorities are searching for Dorner, who has been accused of carrying out a deadly rampage because he felt he was unfairly fired from his job.

The women's attorney says there were no warnings and no orders, just gunshots. Hernandez, who was shot in the back, is recovering. Her daughter has minor injuries to her hand.
