A fire that broke out between two Inner Richmond residential buildings in San Francisco was extinguished Friday afternoon.

The one-alarm fire was reported at 11:52 a.m. at a multi-unit building in the 200 block of Cornwall Street, spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.

The fire was called under control at 1:06 p.m.

The fire spread beyond the Cornwall Street building to another residential building on Third Avenue, Talmadge said.

Flames made it to the garage of the Cornwall Street building and into the walls of both structures, she said.

No injuries were reported in the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, Talmadge said.
