'Huck Cancer' fundraiser held in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO

The Huck Cancer Ultimate Frisbee Tournament is in its fourth year. The small group of Bay Area friends and family either fundraise $50 or donate out of their own pockets to enter the event.

Their annual competition was the idea of Eric Aron who was diagnosed with a brain tumor four years ago. "You need something that keeps you going. I think, for all these kinds of cancers, we all need it, we all need it. An event like this gets more people to connect to it," Aron said.

The participants raised nearly $50,000 on Saturday and have raised more than $100,000 over the years to benefit research through the Livestrong Foundation.
