People around the Bay Area are out celebrating Cinco de Mayo weekend on Saturday. And police will be on the look-out for those who are celebrating too much, cracking down on drinking and driving.

DUI checkpoints will be operating tonight across the Bay Area, including San Francisco and Fremont. There are also special DUI saturation patrols across Santa Clara County that began Thursday and run through Sunday morning.

San Jose Street Closures

Police in San Jose are closing some major streets during Sunday's Cinco de Mayo celebration which typically brings large crowds to Santa Clara Street and Roosevelt Park.

Fourth Street and downtown Market Street will be closed along with a large stretch of King Road. At the same time, Sharks fans will flood HP Pavilion for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Traffic delays are likely.

Family fun in San Francisco

Families were the focus at the annual Cinco de Mayo festival in San Francisco's Dolores Park on Saturday.

The warm weather made it a perfect day for crowds to come out and enjoy traditional Latin American food, music and artistry in front of the magnificent backdrop of the city.

It's the ninth year the city has held the event and this year's theme was improving health and quality of life for everyone who attended.
