Rising pop star in Japan makes U.S. debut at Yoshi's in Oakland

OAKLAND, Calif.

She is known by the name Kylee and sings in Japanese and English. She made her U.S. debut in Oakland, where she gave us a preview of her song "Crazy For You."

Saunders has been working non-stop since she sang the National Anthem at an NBA game when she was 11 and her mother sent the video to Sony Music Japan.

"I did this juggling, balancing act, school and music. It was tough, but I love it. It's become so much a part of me now that I can't live without both," Saunders said.

Saunders performed her first U.S. show at Yoshi's in Oakland Friday night.
