Police activity blocks off parts of East Oakland

Streets were partially blocked off in an East Oakland neighborhood Monday morning as officers responded to an unspecified incident.

The police activity began around 1:40 a.m. when officers were called to the 2300 block of East 21st Street, according to Officer J. Moore.

Police remained at the scene as of 6:15 a.m., he said.

Officers referred additional inquiries about the incident to police spokeswoman Johnna Watson, who had been dispatched to the scene and could not immediately be reached for comment.
