Hunter Kilbourn's mother sent ABC7 News a picture of him heading into the operating room.
A dog mauled Kilbourn Sunday while he was visiting friends at a house in Antioch. Kilborn's mother says two dogs from the home are now being quarantined by Antioch Animal Control.
Kilbourn suffered head and face injuries in the attack.
His mother told us his surgery went well and he is expected to be in the hospital for at least five more days.
A family friend has set up a fund to help pay for his medical care.
