Fatal shooting in downtown San Jose investigated

Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened in broad daylight in downtown San Jose on Saturday.

At about 1 p.m., police received a report of shots fired in the area of 3rd Street and Julian Street in downtown San Jose.

When officers arrived they found an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim died after being transported to a local hospital.

No suspects have been identified and police say they are not sure if the shooting was gang-related. They have not yet released the victim's identify.

This is the city's 33rd homicide of the year.
