Man saves two during flash flood in Colorado

DENVER

Stephanie Liddick grabbed her 6-year-old daughter, Mckenna, and put her on the roof, as water began filling their car.

At the same time, Merle Cordova drove up in his truck.

"She was waving at me and then I realized all that water flows down to a lake," Cordova said.

"He risked his pretty, pretty truck and himself. Not everybody would do it because nobody else did," Liddick said.

"He's my best hero I ever had," Mckenna said.

After rescuing the two, Cordova dropped them off at a nearby school to get warm. Then, he went back and towed the family's car out of the street.
