A class of third graders in Oakland received a big surprise on Tuesday.

Office Max delivered $1,000 worth of school supplies to World Academy on 28th Avenue.

Each student received a pencil box, loaded with goodies. The kids benefitted because their teacher was one of 16 Bay Area educators selected as winners in the A Day Made Better contest.

"I'm still shocked and I'm shaking. I'm honored and just feel so lucky. I feel lucky to be working with this community and this was an amazing experience," teacher Sarah Moynihan said

The principal at World Academy nominated Moynihan because of her extraordinary efforts in the classroom.

Office Max sponsors the program to help teachers who buy everyday essentials like pens and pencils for their students.
