Man faces felony, accused of choking wife after night out at bar

HOUSTON

Jason Corey Sealy was arrested on one charge of assault of a family member after officers responded to a disturbance call at his house in the 500 block of Cypresswood Brook, according to the Harris County Pct. 4 Constable's Office.

Sealy's wife told Pct. 4 deputy constables that she and her husband had spent the evening out with friends at a bar, and they got into a fight once they returned home. At one point, Sealy allegedly choked his wife, and witnesses at the scene had to intervene and then call 911.

Officers say they found visible injuries on Sealy's wife. She was granted an emergency protection order, which is effective for 61 days.

Sealy and his wife have been married for a year and a half.

Authorities say Sealy was once employed as an officer with the Houston Police Department.
