Seattle boy pays homage to his surgeon for Halloween

SEATTLE

Landon Brown wanted to thank the surgeon who performed his two cochlear implants, so the 7-year-old decided to dress up like him.

"He worked on both of my ears, and he's a great surgeon," he said.

Dr. Jay Rubenstein performed Landon's first surgery when the boy was just 9-months-old. Last summer he added a cochlear implant to Landon's left ear.

The 7-year-old has become an important part of the doctor's effort to help implant patients to better hear music.

Not a bad patient to choose, considering Landon's dad is a musician.
