The Los Altos Historical Commission has a big job to do on Monday. The San Jose Mercury News reports that the commission will consider declaring Apple co-founder Steve Jobs's home a historic resource.

The 61-year-old, California ranch-style house on Crist Drive is where Jobs grew up and launched Apple computer. The commission has been eye-balling the property for historic preservation for the past two years. The designation would essentially add another layer of review if anyone tries to renovate the home.
