SF Tenderloin shooting victim found at hospital in Oakland

SAN FRANCISCO

Officers responded to reports of a commotion and a shooting near Taylor Street and Cosmo Place at 1:15 a.m., police spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy said.

Arriving officers did not locate a shooting victim, Shyy said. Witnesses said they saw a silver sedan drive away from the scene.

Staff at Highland Hospital in Oakland later contacted San Francisco police about a shooting victim that arrived at their facility, Shyy said.

SFPD investigators interviewed the victim, a 26-year-old man, and said that he was "uncooperative," Shyy said.

When he is medically cleared, the victim will be released to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office for active felony warrants, Shyy said.

The shooting in San Francisco remains under investigation.
