Pleasanton man out of coma following brutal beating

PLEASANTON, Calif.

David Lamont was knocked unconscious in late Sept. The 51-year-old underwent several surgeries to relieve swelling on his brain.

His wife, Agnes, found him unconscious after he went outside their home on Middleton Place to ask some teenagers to keep the noise down. She told us she and her husband could hear young voices, male and female, outside their home.

"I really appeal to anybody that knows anything. People know this. They know what happened. Please, please talk to the Pleasanton Police Department, tell them what you know," said Agnes.

Pleasanton police say four teenage suspects have been identified and questioned, but no arrests have been made.

Friends told the Pleasanton Patch that Lamont has begun rehabilitation, but is still not able to stand.
