Thanksgiving donations stolen from Sacramento church

SACRAMENTO, Calif.

Thieves robbed the Christ Temple Apostolic Church Friday and made off with food meant to provide a free Thanksgiving meal for those in need. The suspects allegedly crashed through the church's gym window and fled with a stockpile of turkeys, potatoes and yams.

People who have never been to the church have since stepped up and provided donations to replace the food.

"I brought a couple of turkeys, some sparkling cider, some stuffing, cranberry sauce and a smile," said Henry Sanguinetti.

Charlotte Barbee, the youth minister at Christ Temple Apostolic Church, says she can't believe how much people are opening their hearts. She added that this Thanksgiving feast will be something they're even more grateful for due to the generosity of others.
