9-year-old swim champ sends trophy to rival

FLORIDA

Josh Zuchowski is one of the best young swimmers in the country. He won a big meet last weekend and with it, came a trophy. He didn't keep it though. Instead, he had it sent to his friend and rival 10-year-old Reese Branzell, along with a note.

Reese is another top swimmer who's been in and out the hospital with a bacterial infection since October.

"He says that he's sorry that I haven't been feeling well. 'I won this trophy for you today and I hope to see you back in the pool. Your friend, Josh,'" Reese said.

"Because I felt bad for him. And it wasn't something that I had to do. I talked about it with my parents and they're trying to teach me to be a good sport. So I was just trying to do what they taught me," Josh said.

The gesture moved the parents of both boys to tears. Reece's dad says the act of kindness left him speechless. ,/p>
