Dying cancer patient's best friend offers to be surrogate

Doctors discovered Laura Yoho had brain tumors after she passed out at the gym.

Laura and her husband Nate wanted to start a family no matter what the future held; so before she started treatment, Laura froze her eggs.

That's when Laura's best friend Kara did something unbelievable -- she offered to act as a surrogate.

Kara said her offer was selfish. She just wanted to keep part of Laura, her best friend of 24 years, alive.

Tragically, Laura lost her battle shortly after the baby shower and never got to see baby Caralyn born.

But despite the sadness, there was hope.

Laura's husband was blessed with a healthy baby girl.

He says Caralyn is like having a little bit of his wife back and that he can see her every time his daughter smiles.
