A 7-Eleven store owner in the Central Valley is offering a sweet incentive to get kids excited about reading.

Sushil Prakash is giving out a free Slurpee for every book children read. In fact, he started a small library inside his Fresno 7-Eleven store. The idea is simple, borrow a book, write a report and get a free icy drink. It's his way to help kids stay out of trouble in an area with a high crime rate.

His own son helps fund the stash by donating a lot of his own reading material.

"It's a wonderful feeling. I have had so many good stories of kids that were going the wrong way and now they try to spend time at home reading," said Prakash.

The little library has been so successful, nearby schools have also donated used books to help.
