BART officials say the cars will ride above a three-point-two mile track. It's part of the $484 million Oakland Airport Connector Project.
The project won't be finished until the fall, but when it's done, the transit agency says air trains will be able shuttle passengers between its Coliseum Station and the Oakland airport in just 8 to 15 minutes.
A ticket to ride will cost between $4 and $6.
