Sunnyvale man accused of molesting at least 4 kids

SUNNYVALE, Calif.

They're really not 100 percent sure, but those at the department admit this case is complicated with lots of layers. It spans several years and all of that means there's a chance there could be more victims.

Anthony has lived in a house on Brahms Way in Sunnyvale for most of his life and it was in this neighborhood that police say he found his very young victims. Four children, between the ages of 3 and 10, claim they were molested by Anthony between 1999 and 2005.

"One of my friends that used to live here told me that it happened, but that was when she was about 10 or something, just something about him touching her or something," said Andrea Brown, a neighbor.

Police arrested Anthony at his home last Tuesday. They also found child porn in the house. The 28-year-old lives in the home with his mother. However, no one came to the door when we knocked, moments after a group of people walked into the house. Investigators meantime wonder if more victims are out there.

"In this case, we want to make sure we've either identified everything or find other persons that were victimized," said Cpt. Jeff Hunter from the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

The victims started coming forward in September; many did so reluctantly. They are all now young adults.

"Personally, knowing him, I don't believe it at all," said Aaron Carey, a friend of Anthony's. He used to babysit the suspect. "Michael is friendly with everybody, but I couldn't say that there were any kids that he was messing around with at all."

Several neighbors told me Anthony is mentally challenged. He went to the Children's Health Council in Palo Alto for treatment at the exact time the assaults started. Bail is set at $2 million.
