GitHub employee quits; Alleges sexism in workplace

SAN FRANCISCO

Julie Ann Horvath worked for GitHub, a hosting service for software development projects.

She announced her resignation last week and took to Twitter to blast the company.

In an interview with Tech Crunch, Horvath accused GitHub of treating her differently for being a woman.

Horvath also says the wife of one of the company's founders bullied her repeatedly.

The company's CEO apologized to Horvath in a statement, saying there is a new head of HR.

The bullying wife has been banned from the office. Her co-founder husband has been put on leave along with a male co-worker Horvath accused of harassment.
