A 46-year-old man who allegedly shot and killed his wife in their Castro Valley home on Friday surrendered to authorities on Monday night.

Sheriff's officials identified Feng Mi as a person of interest Saturday in connection to the murder of his wife, 45-year-old Yunyi Zhang.

An arrest warrant was issued on Saturday night for Mi. Officials tell ABC7 News Mi surrendered to the Cal State East Bay Police Department in Hayward and was taken into custody without incident.

A silver 2013 Toyota Rav4 that deputies believed Feng was driving was also recovered Monday.

According to the Alameda County Sheriff's Department, Mi asked for an attorney when investigators tried to speak with him. As of Tuesday, Mi has not talked to officials about the case.

Deputies found Zhang's body inside the couple's home on Saturday afternoon. Officials tell us they have established a motive for the shooting, but are not sharing it at this time.

They're also being tight-lipped about how many times Zhang was shot and where her body was found in the home.

The couple has two daughters, ages 14 and 8.

Deputies have previously been to the home multiple times on reports of domestic violence involving Mi.

Mi had two guns registered under his name. One was found in the home and the other outstanding.

Officials are asking that anyone with information about this case to come forward and contact the Alameda County Sheriff's Department.

Mi is being held at the Santa Rita Jail without bail.
