SkyWest flight 5625 was operating as a United Express from San Francisco to Medford, Oregon, but shortly after it took off Tuesday morning, it returned to SFO with mechanical problems.
SkyWest put the passengers on another plane, which took off, but that plane had to turn around as well.
There were 30 people trying to get to Medford and SkyWest said all who wanted to give it a third try were re-booked.
