BART report shows increase in crimes system-wide
A new report by the East Bay Times shows that crimes on BART have risen 41-percent system-wide in the last year.

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- A new report by the East Bay Times shows that crimes on BART have risen 41-percent system-wide in the last year.

When it comes to robberies, the Coliseum station in Oakland and the Bayfair station in San Leandro top the list.

Each station has seen more than ten robberies this year.

The Coliseum and Lake Merritt stations in Oakland have the most assaults and batteries.

In terms of property crimes, like car break-ins, there has been a 14-percent increase system-wide.

The most property crimes were reported at the Daly City, Macarthur, Fruitvale, Coliseum and Dublin-Pleasanton stations.
