CUPERTINO, Calif. (KGO) -- Apple could learn as soon as Monday whether it may be required to pay billions of dollars in back taxes.
The Wall Street Journal reports the issue revolves around Apple sheltering its revenues in Ireland.
The Cupertino-based company has been accused of using Ireland's tax laws to get out of paying corporate taxes, which amounts to upwards of $9 billion annually.
Apple denies any wrongdoing. The European Commission is investigating whether apple received a special deal on taxes from Ireland.
