AT&T, T-Mobile settle with federal government over cramming

AT&T and T-Mobile have both settled with the federal government over cramming, which happens when phone bills are crammed with third-party charges for services the consumer didn't sign up for.

There's $170 million in refunds available and here is what consumers need to know in order to get one.

They need to ask for the money or they won't get it.

The same companies accused of taking customers' money without asking are now requiring them to ask before getting their money back.
