OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- A small part of the Port of Oakland is closed because of a labor dispute over staffing levels.

About 45 workers were sent home early from their shifts at the SSA container yard in terminal 55 on Wednesday.

They will all be able to return for their next shift and the terminal will be open Thursday.

The port is almost caught up from the backlog from the labor dispute last month.
