Seattle, WASHINGTON (KGO) -- People began legally buying marijuana for recreational use in Washington state on Tuesday. Washington joins Colorado as the only two states where pot is sold legally for non-medical uses.

Right now, 24 retailers hold the permits to sell pot in the state. Some store owners worry they won't have enough to meet customer demand.

Federal law still prohibits marijuana possession and use.
