Bay Area vigil planned for children killed in Pakistan Taliban attack

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (KGO) -- A San Rafael mother is leading a new global effort to remember the 140 lives lost when Taliban militants stormed a Pakistan school and killed mostly children.

Heidi Kkuhn, a CEO of the non-profit Roots For Peace is asking people to take part in a global candlelight vigil.

She wants people to light a candle on Tuesday, the one-week anniversary of the attack.

Leaders from around the world are pledging to join Kuhn in her effort, including in Afghanistan, Rome and the Middle East.
