PALO ALTO, Calif. (KGO) -- Stanford is trying to make it easier for middle class families to attend the university. It's expanding financial aid eligibility to families with incomes up to $125,000 a year. The limit was $100,000

Also, the university will pay for the whole ride -- tuition, room and board for families making $65,000 a year or less, before, it was $60,000. The increased financial aid is made possible by Stanford's huge endowment -- $21 billion as of last year.
