UC Berkeley, Stanford ranked as top colleges in annual report

Two Bay Area universities are getting high praise from US News and World Report in its annual college rankings.

UC Berkeley is holding onto its spot as the top public school among national universities in the 2015 edition of Best Colleges.

Schools are ranked, based on academic excellence.

Also mentioned on this year's list is Stanford University.

The South Bay campus is part of a three-way tie for fourth-best national university, along with New York's Columbia University and the University of Chicago.
