BERKELEY, Calif. (KGO) -- A University of California task force issued a list of recommendations on Wednesday for fighting sexual violence on campus.

The recommendations include:

  • Creating response teams on every UC campus, by January 2015
  • Establishing a confidential advocacy office -- also at every campus, and also by January 2015
  • And adopting standards for investigating and dealing with assault cases, by July 2015
  • "There should be a place on every UC campus where people can go and say this has happened to me. What do I do?" said UC president spokesperson Dianne Klein.

UC officials have already decreed that students must give "unambiguous and voluntary" consent before having sex, similar to the "yes means yes" bill now awaiting the governor's signature.
